The Week In Review

Sorry for the late post (as if anyone reads this garbage)

I would like to say I finally got my laptop back from HP those guys are great, so don’t be surprised if I’m kinda biased about buying HP products capice?

Getting the laptop itself was an adventure aside from missing the delivery by FedEx (gee where would everybody be at 1:30pm?) the place to pick it up from (cause I had nothing better to do) was all the way up in Signal Hill. Was it worth it? Heck yes it was besides picking up my laptop I was able to borrow a Gas Tank from my uncle for Bimmer and my gifts from another aunt (Lord of the Rings Trilogy Books + Click + A game = Sweet!)

Oh and damn umm cops? sure why not! the Bimmer finally got ticketed for sitting out there and collecting bird poop not for doing that but for expired registration! Damn my procrastinating self for being to lazy to tape that damn piece of registration paper on it.

And in case your wondering why I wasn’t at work last friday rest assured I wasn’t drunk, in jail. or halfway across the border. I was actually freaking sick. I think my mom loves it when I’m really sick though since its almost the one time where she can make me shut up and just listen, oh and no I don’t enjoy being sick the only reason I think for getting sick is its a great excuse to meet those cute nurses BONUS if the doctors cute too (hey I’m not being sexist here last time I checked theres almost the same amount of male nurses out there curse you Ben Stiller for breaking the stereotype)

On a happy note New England won! woohoo! two more weeks and then its Superbowl ladies and gentlemen I would be accepting suggestions on where to be at during these eventful time of the year (especially since the team I’m rooting for is on the verge of a 19-0 record). Please send me those suggestions ASAP or hey even Superbowl parties anywhere but here PLEASE I beg you.

So thats that I’m gonna catch some ZzZz now before tomorrow so I can be fully rested when my boss yells at me.

And I’m back, this week was kinda rough from things falling apart to
people just simply pissing me off. The weekends going great though with
New England beating a determined Jacksonville Team. Sorry to Colts Fans
out there though I was rooting for them to win (though for a different
reason, more on it next week).

Finished the book I was reading on friday it and it was good though a
bunch of characters died! Now gottta hunt down the next book in the
series.

Day 1 of 2 for my 2007 update for automotive started yesterday and
honestly where’s the fire? the instructor was teaching like freaking
Urlacher was after him left me and my buddies confused and lost.

Speaking of my buddies we started talking about sports one thing led to
another and next thing you know we’re at Target buying booster packs
for football cards.
Then the Seahawks/Packers game was going on halfway through when the
score was 14-0 my friend went "Damn my Brett Favre card just went down
50 cents!"

Lets break it down shall we?

On the 31st of December my laptop practically destroyed itself so I had to kick off the New Year calling (you guessed it!) Tech Support!, now I don’t mean to stereotype but I was really expecting an Indian guy to pick up and “assist” me but lo and behold a Filipino was on the other line, how cool was that! Anyway long story short he tried assisting me and after 30 mins of playing “Simon Says” we determined the things beyond our mortal reach and we have to send it to the tech gods in Texas.

Oh and as much as possible this is just a personal advice no need to take it seriously but don’t EVER take your PC’s or Laptops to Geek Squad in Best Buy, not dissing Best Buy since I bought most of my electronics here and they actually have good customer service reps, but wanting me to pay 200 bucks to run an “advanced diagnostic and repair” followed by “we can’t gaurantee your data to be saved” forget it!
Is like paying someone 200 bucks to kick me in the junk, so the lesson here find your own Geek Squad who’ll fix your crap for let’s say Pizza, learn it yourself, or being buddies with your office’s I.T Dept.

The Boston Three Party + Big Baby, the C’s got their revenge against the Bad Boys with the help of Glen Davis (20 Points against Detroit is Impressive).

NFL Wildcard! Kudos to the Jacksonville Jaguars for knocking out the Steelers (I get to rub it in my buddy’s face hehe) but also the Seahawks for NOT BLOWING the game.

Since we’re on sports ever wondered why those “Authentic” Jerseys are so expensive compared to the “Replicas”? To save you the trouble of asking the nice sales attendant. Authentic Jerseys have different materials and if you look closely enough they usually have 2 shades or colors (look closely at the numbers), while replicas are either Ironed or Stiched on with just one shade. so unless your making the big bucks (which I don’t) then your better off getting the replicas, ahem unless your getting me one then by all means splurge (number 54 of the Bears or Patriots would be fine).

2007 just got kicked out of the bar and 2008 barged in with authority!

It was a great year could’ve been better could’ve been worse. So let’s review some things shall we?

The woohoo! moments:

Being A Patriots Fan - 16-0 a perfect season, and let’s not forget a bunch of broken records notably the 50 Touchdown Passes in a single season by Tom Brady.

I got edumakated     - As of December 15 I am 2 Test away from being a certified Automechanic I did learn a good deal on cars and how it goes vroom, but also made new buddies.

Movies I Liked         - 300 Kicked ass, Hot Fuzz broke my funny bone need I say more.

Going to Chi-Town in Chinese New Year - Was freaking awesome! ok not that great but to actually experince it, (if you thought China Towns packed in a regular day) from just walking around to dining at the restaurant where they shot Rush Hour it was worth it.

The meh moments:

KG21 got traded!     - OK ok so I root for the T-Wolves because Garnett played for them but I actually started liking the team enough that I might actually move there, but after two years of disappointment he got traded! Somehow I think Mchale is secretly helping the Celtics and to say I’m happy for Garnett for actually having a chance to finally win a championship ring, poopie on you Mr. Mchale.

Working for a Medical Billing Company - I learned what happens when you go to the E.R and the corresponding red tape that goes with it to sum it all in one word somehow seems ironic but I’m doing it anyway its "inefficient", though its laughable to read some of the cases its kinda bad when you start having a sadistic streak of sending people to collections.

The Aaaaargh Moments:

Was surprisingly few this year though my biggest annoyance were.

Lets fix the Van - Yeah I started the year driving a Van and no its not one of the new ones but rather the old boxy one and in fairness it was reliable but when the government says it fails a smog test and you can’t use it till you fix it I don’t really see the point of spending $300 on a $500 car (wait it should be $300 which was how much the used car guy was willing to buy it off me for) so I spent that money and its still not fixed I gave up on it.

Stop talking please! - Yeah just a generalization but some people need to stop talking.

Laptop go boom!    - My laptop decides to destroy itself on New Years Eve.

Regrets?

Just one I guess if I knew now what I knew then I still would’ve bought that 1982 Datsun 280ZX, that thing was freaking sweet but once again I didn’t know enough at that time to justify buying a car that needed a smog test and possibly a new catalytic converter.

Also since its a new year so a new thing I’m gonna do is write a blog at the end of each week (Like we need more cyber junk).
